Later this year, all of it will be available on laptops and mobile devices, but in the interim, you can still test out the beta program. The first public betas have now been made available by Apple, but you should still hold off on using this pre-release software.
The initial public betas of Apple’s most recent iterations of macOS, iOS, iPadOS, watchOS, and tvOS have just been made available. While they aren’t the first beta releases for macOS Sequoia, iOS 18, or anything else, they are the first to be designated as “public beta.” Compared to the early releases, they ought to be more reliable and appropriate for everyday usage. If you really want to try the new features before everyone else, this is now the time.
Along with enhanced home screen customization, RCS support, a redesigned Photos app, and more, the iOS 18 upgrade offers new features. Along with other enhancements, the latest macOS Sequoia update includes window tiling, iPhone notification mirroring, drag-and-drop functionality, and iPhone remote access. We still have a few months till a stable release, but these builds don’t seem to have anything new that we haven’t seen previously. Notably, among the most significant changes in iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and macOS Sequoia, all Apple Intelligence capabilities remain absent.
Even if these builds are a little safer, we still don’t recommend using them in your laptop or phone. Even while these are still pre-release builds and have undergone testing, you shouldn’t blindly trust Apple’s claims that they are mainly reliable and bug-free. There may always be some critical flaws that we are unaware of. Waiting until the stable update is released is generally a good idea, and that should happen by September. We advise utilizing a spare device that you don’t mind breaking for that purpose if you truly want to give this a go and don’t want to break your present phone.
